Agni

Agni is the deity of fire. He is also a Dikpalaka (ruler) of the Agneya (South East) direction. He is known as the carrier of ahuti (ghee poured in Homas / Yagnyas). Devas accept offerings from humans only through Agni/fire. He is often represented as one with 2 faces and seven tongues with 3 legs. He uses Ram as his mount / vahana.

Agneya direction is best suited for having Kitchen. Vastu Sastra dictates that Living rooms and Bed Rooms should never be in Agneya direction.
